Re: The Corona Virus Hoax of 2020

Relatively old news about "the" Dr Fauci... The icing on the Fauci hypocrisy cake is his new book claiming to be about "truth (cough) and service". What kind of government official who on TV almost daily, like a moth attracted to a light bulb, has enough left over f...

Re: Entropy

Smart upgrade. 8-) Could the pinhole improve the ball bearing valve behavior ? The redundancy doesn't hurt... I am starting to apply some hindsight at this apparent design problem. I was mainly seeing the air lock and refusal to pump in my testing outside the crawl space... after the pump is allowe...

Re: Entropy

I have a new plan... I have a small drill to add a pinhole vent or two, but asked myself do I really need to close off the original hole. Why not reinstall the ball bearing? If it works all good, if it air locks, the new pin hole vent will deal with that. 8-) [update] Suckcess I just reinstalled the...

Re: Gentle persuasion over time

No good deed goes unpunished... 7:30AM my neighbor that I pulled out of his rain ditch a few weeks ago with my come along, called me to help him winch his mower up onto his trailer. Which means I had to winch it up and on. I got to test my new replacement strap and it worked as planned. I have...

Re: Entropy

I don't feel like oil would make much difference, it looks like a stainless steel ball bearing, loosely held in a cylindrical boss in the cast plastic housing. The ball bearing closes off the even smaller hole at the top of the boss. A simple metal bar/clamp in the bottom of the boss, keeps the ball...

Re: Entropy

Scratching another one off my to do list, I used my new "Y" driver bits and took apart my previous sump pump. I was looking for a blocked air vent and found a ball bearing check valve. The ball was stuck up, sealing the vent hole, but it dropped easily when I touched it with a nail point....

Re: Entropy

I just did another power reset.... My direct TV DVR/receiver got stupid and was not recording shows it was programmed to. I removed the power plug... it took a few minutes to download a clean operating system from the satellite and reset. It appears to be behaving now. === I am still dealing with s...

Re: Entropy

Yes it would prevent responding to waves. I'll take one decent 3-4" rain... not that uncommon around here I am absolutely in no hurry to repair the controller that lightning trashed even though it is probably something simple. I would be more tempted to drop a microprocessor in there but even t...
