I haven't agreed to do it yet.
It's a lot of work with a 1-2 month deadline likely for a fall or early 2025 release.
I've been enjoying a lazy summer and this would make it less-than-lazy.
(Lazy except for mowing...)

Re: New edition of Handbook for Sound Engineers any time soon?
Just received a phone call today from Glen Ballou who has asked me to help him edit and update The Handbook for Sound Engineers 6th Edition.
Glen is now 88 and still going strong and has enlisted Doug Jones as co-Editor.

TI NE5532 and NE5534 Production Status: Active
TI NE5532 NE5534 Production Status TI has not discontinued the NE5532 or NE5534. Apparently TI temporarily EOL'd the 5534 and some 5532 variants while they upgraded the process to 300 mm fab. As of June 2024 both devices are "active" including DIP packaging. https://proaudiodesignforum.co...

OPA2134PA Not Going End Of Life in DIP
Looks like TI has converted the OPA134 and OPA2134 to 300 mm fab and is NOT end of life. DIP and SMT are both in stock at Mouser and DigiKey. The NE5532 and NE5534 have also been transitioned to 300 mm and are in production. As of April 7, 2024: https://proaudiodesignforum.com/images/jpg/TI_OPA2134_...

Re: What about a dual mid-side encoder project?
I always wondered where Z went.
The outputs at U6A, U7 and U8 are also not shown as outputs.
Those Calrec schematics get pretty busy - a lot to digest.

Re: THAT 1583 Preamplifier Design
Hi Elektium thank you for joining us! I moved this thread to the Pro Audio Design sub-forum so it will have greater exposure. There are a lot of sticky threads in "Build" which pushes your thread downward. To get 48V from the Scarlett you may need to find the circuit node where the interna...

Interdesign Semicustom Integrated Circuits Brochure
Interdesign Semicustom Integrated Circuits Interdesign was a company founded by Hans Camenzind the inventor of the NE555. I've always thought the cover of this brochure was a work of art. I've been unable to find a copy on the web and not much information on Interdesign is available so I decided to...
