Re: The Waveulator: Two VCA-based Clipper Saturators

I've been having to spend some "quality time" with the mower and string trimmer doing deferred lawn maintenance around the Pink Atomic Ranch. With temps hovering around 100°F in North Texas - which is typical - work gets done from around 8AM-12:30PM. I haven't had much time or energy to sp...

Re: Transfer Filter / Neumann HT75 Replacement

Paul - You need to do a video of the Shaker Desk in action doing a cut. I have this "Wizard of Oz" image in my head of "The Machine" being run. A short clip of that scene would make a good opening for your video.

Nice!
Love seeing lacing cord. Reminds me of my Dad and growing up around airplanes.
Very neat work Paul.

Re: Intermittent scratches/distortion/level changes in preamp

The product I use which is TechSpray is OK to use on a live circuit.

Sometimes condensation will form which will affect high impedance circuits and cause short term leakage but usually it will break whatever is intermittent.

You might also try a hair dryer.

Re: Quadrature Summing Filter Documents

I updated the Mouser BOM which had a bunch of now-discontinued tape and reel resistor part numbers.
Replacing the tape and reel PNs with bulk made them available.

Re: Mastering Stereo Insert Switcher with Flip Construction Information

I measured the THD of the WE111 transformer. A THD sweep and also 60 Hz at 0 dBu and +10 dBu with 0 series R versus 2k series R Measurements are in the PDFs in here https://crush.digido.com/?u=Mastering_Insert_switcher&p=Kirkwood It's subtle for sure, but maybe not too subtle for me. I'll put i...

Re: Mastering Stereo Insert Switcher with Flip Construction Information

Here's a question: SW1 is for the series resistor SW2 is to engage or bypass the transformer I want SW1 to be dependent on SW2. In other words, LED #1 will not light and the "series resistor" will not engage unless the transformer is engaged. So I connect the + side of external switch 1 t...

Re: New: A Direct-Coupled Input-Capacitorless Active Mic Preamp

The ZTX951 PNP is slightly quieter than the ZTX851 NPN.
Both are quieter than the 2SB737.

The ZTX e-Line transistors are CBE so they have the same footprint as a 2N440X.
