Master Room XL305 Tank Repair?

Hello, I’m working on a Master Room XL305 output that has dead tank on channel two.

I’ve measure the resistance at the output of both tanks, the good one is 48ohms and the bad channel is reading 0ohms.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to repair what’s inside the tank? and if so is there a procedure to open the tank for repair?

I think you should be able to drill open the rivets that hold the two case halves together.

Inside you'll find sled assemblies that look like the pics I posted in the XL-305 thread.

Hi! I have an old XL-305 that is half working. I hope it may be a relatively easy fix. The left channel operates perfectly fine. The right channel effect has a really quiet output. It's super faint in comparison to the left channel. I adjusted the trim-pots but it's still super quiet. The input seems fine, so it seems like a bad output.. XLR and 1/4 outputs both operate the same, and the dry sound comes through perfectly clear so it's not a bad jack.
Any advice is much appreciated!

If I were a betting man I would guess that the unit needs re-capping.
They're close to turning 50 years old.
I would do that first and then if it persists investigate the tank.

will do haven't done a recap job myself but i have good solder chops. the slowest part will just be sourcing the right caps
